We all know that too much sugar and alcohol are
bad for us but it is acceptable to use them
occasionally as a treat. Try this delicious
naughty warm desert.
Ingredients:
6 bananas
2 oranges halved
1/4 cup of lightly packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon mixed spice
1/2 cup sweet sherry
1 tablespoon of Grainfields Lemon & Ginger
30g butter
Directions:
Using a citrus juicer juice oranges to yield 1/2
cup of orange juice. Juice an extra orange if
needed. Combine juice, brown sugar, Grainfields
and sherry in a bowl. Peel and halve bananas.
Place in a flat baking tray and pour liquid
mixture over. Dot with butter and bake in a
moderately hot oven for 10 minutes or until
bananas are tender, basting during cooking.
Spoon sauce over bananas and serve with scoops
of vanilla ice cream sprinkled with cinnamon. To
be even naughtier garnish with whipped cream and
a cherry on top!

Crust Ingredients:
2 cups crushed ginger biscuits
125g Melted Butter
1 - 2 tablespoons Grainfields Powder
Filling Ingredients:
1 cup mascarpone cheese
1/2 cup cream
2 tablespoons of honey
Juice of 1 lime
3 cups fresh raspberries or strawberries
Directions:
Make the crust:
Combine biscuits, melted butter and Grainfields
powder, then press into the bottom of a spring
form tin. Chill for approx 30 minutes.
Make the filling:
In a small bowl, whip the cream until soft peaks
are formed. Add the mascarpone cheese, mixing
well until smooth. Fold in honey, lime juice,
and raspberries, reserving about 1/2 cup berries
for garnish.
Spoon the berry/cream mixture into the prepared
crust, smoothing the surface with a spatula.
Chill for at least 3 hours, top with the
reserved berries, and serve. |

This is a very
simple recipe with many variations. Make your
cheese plain, then add fruits, dried or fresh,
herbs, spices or use this cheese for quiches or
cheese cakes - sweet or savory. Great in filo
pastries, filled with fresh fruits or smoked
salmon, and so on.
Ingredients:
500 mL of warm
milk
1 level teaspoon of Celtic
sea salt
2 teaspoons of fructose
100 mL of Grainfields
(B.E. Wholegrain, Lemon &
Ginger)
Directions:
Mix together all
ingredients in a sterile glass jar; place lid on
loosely. Ferment at an even temperature of 40°C
for 24 hours; refrigerate to set. Strain through
muslin cloth. Do not discard the liquid; drink
it. Store your cheese in the refrigerator in a
container with a lid. |

Ingredients:
400ml Oil (Olive, Linseed or Macadamia)
200mls Grainfields Liquid (BE Wholegrain Liquid
or Lemon & Ginger)
Fresh chopped Garlic or Chillies
Freshly cracked Peppercorns
A dash of Lime Juice
Directions:
Mix all above ingredients together. Put into a
bottle or jug and add to your favorite salad |

Ingredients:
200 mL
Grainfields Liquid (B.E. Wholegrain, Lemon &
Ginger)
1 Banana
Handful of Strawberries
1Kiwi fruit
Directions:
Pour liquid into
blender, chop all fruit and add to liquid. Blend
until thoroughly mixed, pour and enjoy. Any
fruits can be used in this recipe. Add some of
the Grainfields Powders for a meal replacement
drink. |
